Dong-Ping Wong

Dong-Ping Wong is a Founding Partner of Family, a design firm based in New York. Family has designed infrastructure around the world, including a commercial and cultural showcase in central Moscow, the Off-White Store in Hong Kong, a world-touring mountain, a museum in Finland, a housing block in Dallas, a bridge in Slovenia, a peninsula in Denmark and a house in Norway. Wong graduated from UC Berkeley College of Environmental Design before earning his Masters at the Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation at Columbia University. He has worked at a number of internationally recognized offices including OMA and REX, where he was a lead designer on the 60-story Museum Plaza mixed-used tower in Louisville, KY, and managed the proposal to unite the Deichmanske Library and two major museums in Oslo. He designed + POOL along with Archie Lee Coates IV, Jeffrey Scott Franklin and Oana Stanescu and is co-founder of Friends of + POOL, the nonprofit established to develop, operate and maintain + POOL.
